From the New Year, a federal law on the international territories of advanced development (TOR) will come into effect, opening up new prospects for the economic development of Russia’s Far East. It has been the result of extensive analysis of global practices, especially neighboring China, seen as a key partner. Despite the law being enacted, the subjects of the Russian Far East are still trying to refine it to attract investors quickly. This requires substantial and rapid investment in infrastructure.
