A collaboration between the United States and other nations such as China and Russia has led to the establishment of a special independent space station aside from the International Space Station. This station, known as ‘Tiangong’ in Chinese, has attracted Chinese astronauts who undergo a six-month rotation period in this space environment specially designed for research purposes. In a recent mission, Chinese astronauts Shen Dong, Shen Jiong Rui, and Wang Ji team, boarded the ‘Shenzhou-20’ spacecraft on May 3rd to embark on an expedition to the International Space Station. During their journey, the spacecraft encountered a malfunction in its propulsion system, leaving them stranded in space.
