The Chinese company ‘Kaihe Automobile Group’ has resumed the process of obtaining approval for the type of vehicle (OTTS) for the BAW 212 frame SUV, which is well-known in Russia. The certification process was suspended due to concerns about competition with the Russian UAZ. Now, it seems that the Chinese have decided to move forward and bring the BJ212 to the Russian market. This move could potentially pose a threat to the Russian model, as the BJ212 is expected to offer strong competition.
