Col India Aims to Bring Business Diversity

Col India Limited, a multinational organization worth millions, has issued a call for a ‘complete overhaul’ in its business model and practices with the appointment of new chairman Sunoj Kumar Jha. Speaking at a recent event marking the company’s 50th anniversary in Kolkata, Jha stated, ‘The world is no longer the same as before. Fifty years ago, coal was the main source of energy, but now the use of renewable energy and various alternatives is rapidly increasing. We also need to adapt with the times.’ Being the additional secretary of the coal ministry, Jha emphasized the need for a complete transformation in the coal sector, moving away from old practices to reshape the entire system, type of business, and production process.
