Competitors for Lada Cars in Russia: Ranking of the Cheapest Vehicles Revealed

In Russia, it is still possible to find new cars priced at less than 1.7 million rubles. A study by SPEEDME.RU revealed the top ten most affordable models in November 2025, with Lada and Chinese brands leading the way. The cheapest car remains the Lada Granta at 749,900 rubles, but with state support, it can be purchased for around 600,000 rubles. Among SUVs, the Lada Niva Legend stands out (starting at 1.06 million rubles, on promotion at 768,000 rubles) as well as the Niva Travel (starting at 1.31 million rubles). Leading the Chinese models is the BAIC U5 Plus with a price tag starting at 1.39 million rubles, offering surround-view cameras and multimedia as standard. Also on the list are the Livan X3 Pro (1.45 million rubles), Changan Alsvin (1.5 million rubles) and JAC JS3 (1.55 million rubles). Among Russian cars, the Lada Vesta (starting at 1.46 million rubles) and Largus (1.66 million rubles) stand out, with the UAZ Hunter closing the top ten at 1.5 million rubles. Analysts note that in the segment up to 1.7 million rubles, Russian brands focus on price and simplicity, while Chinese brands emphasize features and design. These models remain realistic new cars for buyers on a limited budget.
