The annual UN event brings together authorities from around the world to discuss climate issues and the future of the planet. The Alliance of the Peoples’ manifestation at the Blue Zone with the slogan ‘We DEMAND’ has gathered protesters from over 45 countries. The campaign ‘We DEMAND – Direct Climate Financing for Those Who Care for the Forest,’ proposes a new model for international resource allocation for environmental actions, with less bureaucracy and more community agency. The movement’s demonstrators were at the Blue Zone on Thursday, the 13th.
