Coritiba has been crowned the champion of the 2025 Serie B. The team coached by Mozart, who had already secured promotion, defeated Amazonas in the last round of the tournament and secured the top spot after the 38th round. The Coxa was in contention for the title with their rival Athletico. Both teams, confirmed in the national elite for the next season, won their matches. Chapecoense and Remo also secured promotions.
The trophy makes Coritiba the biggest champion of the Serie B. It is the club’s third title, having also won the tournament in 2007 and 2010, with a runner-up finish in 1995. The team from Paraná surpassed a group of six teams, including Botafogo and Palmeiras, in terms of titles: along with the Rio and São Paulo teams, Goiás, América-MG, Paysandu, and Bragantino amassed two titles each in the 2nd national division.
Let’s see the biggest Serie B champions: Coritiba: 3 (2007, 2010 and 2025) Goias: 2 (1999 and 2012) Palmeiras: 2 (2003 and 2013) Botafogo: 2 (2015 and 2021) America-MG: 2 (1997 and 2017) Paysandu: 2 (1991 and 2001) Bragantino: 2 (1989 and 2019)
