Could Moraes order Bolsonaro’s immediate arrest, just like in Collor’s case?

Last week, the First Chamber of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) unanimously rejected all appeals presented by the defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro and other defendants convicted for involvement in the coup d’état plan. Once the judgment’s decision document is published, Bolsonaro and the other defendants will still have the right to one more appeal. Expectations are that the document will be published on Tuesday (18). Afterward, a new five-day deadline opens for the defenses to submit new appeals. If the second appeal is rejected, ‘res judicata’ is declared, making the verdict final and the defendants will start serving their sentences.
