Creators of ARC Raiders Explain Three-Year Release Delay – Game Was Boring Without PvP

The release of ARC Raiders was initially planned for 2022, but it was delayed several times. Recently, the development studio Embark announced the final release date – October 30th. In a conversation with Edge journalists, company CEO Patrick Soderlund admitted that the main reason for the delay was the need to introduce player versus player (PvP) gameplay into the title to avoid it becoming monotonous without that element. Soderlund explained that the team wanted to ensure ARC Raiders offers a diverse and engaging experience for players, and PvP was essential for achieving that goal.
