Criminals Who Do Not Appear in the Series: Meet Them in the Book

Cíntia de Cássia Lima, nationally known as ‘Língua de Cobra’ (Snake Tongue), was convicted for the brutal murder of her husband, Valmir Pereira, in 2012. The crime, which shocked the country due to its cruelty, took place in Camaçari, Bahia, where the accused, with the help of an accomplice, electrocuted the victim, beat him, and finally burned his body in an empty lot. The motive for the homicide, according to investigations, was Cíntia’s interest in receiving the life insurance money she had taken out for her husband. Former footballer Robinho, once celebrated for his dribbling skills and victories in European fields, was irreversibly tarnished by a criminal conviction. The athlete was convicted in Italy for the collective rape of an Albanian woman in 2013, while playing for Milan. The case, which dragged on for years in the Italian justice system, culminated in a nine-year prison sentence, revealing the abuses committed in a nightlife setting.
