For eighty years, the United Nations has weathered various storms. Outside the UN headquarters in New York, the ‘Swords into Plowshares’ bronze sculpture stands solemnly, serving as a constant reminder to the world that humanity’s wisdom and power should be used for the creation of civilization, not for the destruction of life.
