CV ‘Set to Take Control Soon’ in Faction Wars, Says Report

The Comando Vermelho (CV) faction, involved in both legal and illegal businesses and with politicians, is more organized, better armed, and more capitalized than its criminal rivals, according to a report by the Núcleo de Inteligência Policial (NUIP) from the Department of Repression of Organized Crime. The report, numbered 154/2025/DRACO/DRCO/PCCE, states that the CV is likely to soon ‘gain total control of Fortaleza/CE and the main municipalities in the state of Ceará’.
