A cyclonic storm originated in the Bay of Bengal and hit the coast near Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday evening, causing strong winds blowing at a speed of 100 km per hour between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam in Kakinda, resulting in damage to homes and trees, leading to the death of a woman. As per the meteorological department, there is a possibility of the cyclone reaching Odisha on Wednesday morning. The cyclone caused heavy rainfall and strong winds in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and West Bengal.
