The Brazilian men’s national team has been eliminated from the Volleyball World Cup. After losing 3 sets to 0 to Serbia last night, Bernardinho’s team saw, this morning, the Czech Republic defeat China 3-0, pushing Brazil to third place in Group H. Brazil needed a Chinese victory or a Czech win by 3 sets to 2 to advance in the World Cup. A Czech victory by 3 sets to 1 would take the decision to the point difference. It is the worst result for the selection in the history of the competition. With the elimination, Brazil didn’t even make it to the top 16, a worse campaign than the 13th place in 1996.
