At the end of the nine months of 2025, China became the largest beer exporter to Russia, according to data from the UN Comtrade platform and national customs agencies, cited by RIA Novosti. Shipments amounted to $33.4 million, marking a 1.5-fold increase year-on-year. Czech Republic ranked second with $15.6 million, followed by Germany with $12.2 million, Lithuania with $9 million, and Latvia with $8.3 million.
For the first 11 months of 2025, 143.8 thousand passenger cars were imported into Russia through ‘alternative’ schemes, a 14% decrease compared to the previous year, as reported by ‘Vedomosti’ citing data from ‘Autostat.’ November saw the highest imports, with over 32 thousand cars. The most demanded brand during the year was Toyota (25.6 thousand units, up by 34%), followed by BMW (15.2 thousand, +31%), Geely (15.5 thousand, -35%), Lixiang (9.2 thousand, -57%), and Mercedes-Benz (8.56 thousand, +25%).
