The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is cautioning the public about illegal recruitment activities that offer job opportunities in Egypt. Through a social media announcement, the DMW emphasized the importance of being vigilant when approached by unauthorized recruiters promising work in Egypt. According to the DMW, individuals should be wary of promises of easy placements or job offers in Egypt that lack the necessary permits, as engaging in such activities could result in exploitation, detention, or deportation. The Department stressed that aspiring overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) should refrain from accepting job offers or signing contracts without valid work permits, visas, and proper documentation from employers.
