American economist Jeffrey Sachs has advised India not to be overly dependent on America. He has said that security agreements with Washington may not be effective. He suggested that India should connect with BRICS, as America is now focusing more on its domestic issues. Sachs emphasized the need for India to have an independent foreign policy.
