Mazda conducted a detailed study on how dogs feel during car rides. Expert analysis by 32CARS.RU revealed that 44% of owners have experienced their pets getting carsick, with seven out of ten animals feeling unwell even before reaching 90 minutes of travel time. Common symptoms include drooling, restlessness, and vomiting. Veterinarians note that dogs react much more strongly to vibrations, smells, and noise than humans, so even short trips can cause stress. It is concerning that almost half of owners choose the wrong actions, such as holding the dog on their lap or giving treats, both of which can exacerbate carsickness. The correct approach is much simpler: smooth driving, steady speed, and regular stops.
