Dola aide Shaikh, Linked to Drug Cartels, Extradited from Dubai

Salman Shaikh, a suspect linked to drug cartels abroad and in India, has been extradited from Dubai. He is the fourth person to be deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for his involvement in drug peddling activities. Two years ago, a Red Corner Notice (RCN) was issued against Shaikh after his name was connected to various drug cases in Mumbai and other states. The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) unit in Ghatkopar had arrested Mohammed Shahrukh Shaikh in central Mumbai and seized nearly 995 grams of the banned drug mephedrone from him in August 2022. Further investigations led to the arrest of three other suspects, including Salman Shaikh, who had fled to Dubai and was operating under the guidance of a criminal known as Dola.
