Egypt and Saudi Arabia Call for Ceasefire in Sudan and Full Implementation of Gaza Agreement

Egypt and Saudi Arabia emphasized the importance of a ceasefire in Sudan and the full implementation of the Gaza agreement, according to Anadolu. Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty of Egypt had a phone conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The ministers highlighted the deep and strong fraternal ties between the two countries, emphasizing the growing cooperation in political, economic, and development aspects. They reiterated the significance of achieving a ceasefire in Sudan and creating conditions for an inclusive political process that upholds Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and stability. Sudan has been plagued by a deadly conflict between the army and Rapid Support Forces since April 2023, resulting in numerous casualties and displacements.
