Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty announced ongoing discussions with the US on hosting an international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza. The conference aims to address the aftermath of Israel’s two-year conflict in the region. Abdelatty highlighted the need for increased humanitarian aid access to Gaza to support its population. Plans also include implementing US President Trump’s peace plan and moving towards recovery and reconstruction efforts. Following a ceasefire deal on Oct. 10, Egypt and Germany expressed support for UN Security Council Resolution 2803 for establishing peace mechanisms in Gaza.
