CAIRO: Egypt has recently inked deals with four international companies, totaling more than USD 340 million, for the exploration of oil and gas reserves in the Mediterranean Sea and Nile Delta. According to a statement from the Petroleum Ministry on Saturday, these agreements mark a significant step in Egypt’s efforts to develop its energy sector. The state-owned Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) was the key player in facilitating these partnerships.
