Egyptian Film Industry Applauds Cairo’s Inclusion of Unbanned Short Film ‘The Last Miracle’

Just a little over a year since it was removed as the opening short film of the 2024 El Gouna Film Festival in Egypt by the country’s censorship board, ‘The Last Miracle’ has now received approval to be shown at the 2025 Cairo Film Festival. The industry warmly welcomed this move after facing obstacles in the past. Despite its initial ban, the short film has finally been given the opportunity to be showcased at a major film event in the country. This decision signifies progress in the realm of artistic freedom and expression.
