Egypt’s international footballer Ramadan Sobhi, known for his time with Pyramids and in the English Premier League, has been suspended for four years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) due to an anti-doping rule infringement, as confirmed by Egypt’s anti-doping authority. Hazem Khamis, head of the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organisation, announced, ‘We have received an official letter stating Ramadan Sobhi’s four-year ban in a doping case.’ The suspension of Sobhi is linked to accusations of doping and sample tampering, according to the anti-doping body. Sobhi has yet to respond to the ban, although his lawyer mentioned preparing an appeal to the Swiss Federal Court.
