Eni CEO Meets Egyptian President Al-Sisi to Discuss Major Investments in Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi recently held a meeting with Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi to assess the Italian company’s investments in Egypt and explore potential new projects, according to a statement released by Eni. Eni, known for operating the Zohr gas field off the coast of Egypt, has committed to investing up to $8 billion in the country. The company has initiated an offshore drilling campaign in the Mediterranean to further its exploration efforts. Eni aims to enhance its presence in Egypt by focusing on short-cycle opportunities and extending the life of existing assets in key regions like Sinai and the Nile Delta.
