Even from China, Russians aim to bring Toyota: car import from China increased fourfold

According to the data shared by the director of ‘Autostat’ Sergei Tselikov in his Telegram channel, the import of used cars from China to Russia in September 2025 reached 9.9 thousand units. This shows a substantial growth, 25% higher than the August figures of the same year (7.85 thousand cars), and four times higher than the volumes from September of the previous year (2.45 thousand units). This increase in car imports from China to Russia indicates a growing trend among Russians to bring Toyota cars from China. The interest in importing vehicles from China is on the rise, with a significant surge in numbers compared to the previous year. This surge in imports showcases a preference for Toyota vehicles among Russian consumers, even when sourced from China.
