Palmeiras 0x0 Cruzeiro, a Brasileirão match that took place tonight at Allianz Parque, featured a refereeing controversy in the 1st half. Gustavo Gómez hit Wanderson’s shin during a ball dispute. The incident occurred ten minutes into the first half. Referee Rafael Rodrigo Klein did not call a foul for the Cruzeiro players, and the match was halted as the forward lay on the ground in pain. The VAR, led by Daniel Nobre Bins, summoned Klein for a review while the Cruzeiro player was being attended to. Following the check, the on-field referee showed a yellow card and awarded the foul to Gómez. The referee spent almost two minutes watching the replay from different angles in the booth.
