At least 54 individuals sustained injuries following a powerful explosion at a mosque located within a school compound in Jakarta, Indonesia, amid Friday prayers. The casualties included children and teachers, who were promptly rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. While some victims suffered minor wounds, others were admitted with burns. The explosion occurred around 4:00 PM (GMT) during the sermon. Police authorities have launched an investigation into the matter, focusing on determining the cause of the blast at the Kelapa Gading site in North Jakarta, as mentioned by city police chief Asep Edi Suheri. Additionally, the anti-bomb squad discovered toy rifles and a toy gun in close proximity to the mosque.
