Famous tennis player justifies refusing Russia. But too late

However, cases of changing passports regularly occur. Anastasia Potapova’s decision came as a shock as she always talked about her love for Russia but then enthusiastically declared Austria as her new home. The tennis player’s justifications were bright but did not fully convince. Recent trends show Russian athletes gradually returning to international competitions, some already competing with their flag and anthem, as seen in judo and sambo, for example.
