A horrific road accident occurred in Jodhpur on Sunday evening, claiming the lives of 18 individuals. Another two sustained injuries. A tempo traveller collided with a truck parked by the side of the road. The deceased and injured were rushed to the nearest hospital in Jodhpur. The casualties are residents of the Sur Sagar area in Jodhpur. Following the incident, the Rajasthan Police Superintendent Kunwar Amanaram confirmed the accident.
According to reports, a major accident took place near the Matoda Police Station in the Rajasthan district. The tempo traveler crashed into a parked truck by the roadside. Approximately 18 individuals lost their lives in this accident. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. The deceased were taken to the mortuary for further arrangements. The Jodhpur C.P. Om Prakash Madhuradas Mathur and the ED and EMS arrived at the hospital to oversee medical treatment for the injured.
Inspector-in-charge Amanaram stated that they visited the accident site at the hospital to console the families of the deceased. The bodies were sent to the post-mortem center. They registered a case and are investigating the incident. Action will be taken against the negligent individuals. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his shock over the incident, stating it had disturbed him. He tweeted urging families of the deceased to remain strong and praying for the quick recovery of the injured.
The families of the deceased must be given courage. Gehlot tweeted about the need for swift action to locate the missing individuals. The incident has left many in shock.
