Washington, on October 28th, saw Melissa hurricane wreaking havoc on the Caribbean island of Jamaica, causing significant damage. Many have been affected by the hurricane and are being sheltered in relief centers.
In response, American companies are sending humanitarian aid to Jamaica. Among them, Alexander (53 years old) and his daughter Serena (22 years old) had volunteered to bring aid to Jamaica through a nonprofit organization.
With various relief supplies, both departed from Florida in a small cargo plane yesterday. Alexander was piloting the plane.
However, tragedy struck when the plane crashed near Coral Springs in Florida, leading to the deaths of Alexander and his daughter Serena. Officials are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
