Faustão hospitalized for over two months with bacterial infection

Faustão underwent liver and kidney transplants on Thursday, reaching his fourth organ transplant. Fausto Silva has been hospitalized at Einstein Hospital Israelita in São Paulo since May 21st due to an acute bacterial infection, as per a medical bulletin released on Thursday night. The infection was classified as ‘sepsis’ by doctors, indicating severe manifestations that can lead to organ dysfunction and potential fatality. Sepsis occurs when the body reacts excessively to an infection, releasing chemicals that trigger widespread inflammation, damaging tissues and organs.
