FBI Director Uses Swat Teams to Protect Girlfriend and Faces Criticism Within American Police, Reports Newspaper

FBI Director Kash Patel has reportedly used Swat teams to ensure the safety of his girlfriend, country singer and conservative activist Alexis Wilkins. Swat is a tactical unit of the US police specialized in high-risk operations such as rescues, kidnappings, shootings, and armed confrontations. Patel allegedly summoned two Swat agents to guard his girlfriend during a show at the National Rifle Association (NRA) congress in Atlanta earlier this year. Current and former FBI officials deem Patel’s use of Swat agents for this purpose ‘highly unusual.’ Employees interviewed by The New York Times spoke anonymously due to fear of retaliation or lack of authorization to discuss the matter publicly.
