Femicide: Military assassin’s preventive detention in converted

Kelvin Barros da Silva, a 21-year-old soldier in the Army and the admitted murderer of military personnel Maria de Lourdes Freire, 25, had his arrest converted to preventive after a custody hearing on Saturday (12/6). The suspect was arrested by the 2nd Police Station (Asa Norte) after stabbing Maria de Lourdes in the neck and setting fire to the 1st RCG in the Military Urban Sector, in the Cruzeiro region, on Friday afternoon (12/5). After the crime, he fled in the direction of Paranoá. Found shortly after, he confessed to the femicide. Despite the confession, Kelvin provided at least five different versions of the crime.
