On the last day of the presentation… New Delhi, November 21: The world’s largest Dubai airshow witnessed a horrific incident. Indian Air Force’s Tejas-MK1 fighter jet crashed during the airshow. Tejas, part of the Al Maktoum International Airport exhibition, had just taken off when it veered downwards. The fighter jet, with a large number of spectators present to witness the display, hit the ground with a loud impact. In this incident, the pilot succumbed to severe injuries, as confirmed by the Indian Air Force. The pilot’s family has been informed of the tragedy. Special teams are being arranged to assess the situation. The Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) is developed by HAL for the Indian Air Force. The pilot failed to recover the fighter jet from a negative G-force (force in the opposite direction of gravity) turn, leading to the crash. As per Dubai’s timeline, the incident occurred at 2:15 pm on Friday.
