Film “East Extreme Island” Receives Praise at Beijing Premiere: “Satisfying and Thrilling”

Yesterday, the film “East Extreme Island,” co-directed by Guan Hu and Fei Zhenxiang, held its premiere in Beijing with the theme “Every Chinese can be a hero.” The directors, producers, including Liang Jing, and cast members Zhu Yilong, Wu Lei, Ni Ni, Yang Haoyu, Chen Minghao, Ni Dahong, Li Jiuxiao, and Wang Yiquan were present at the interactive session after the screening, sharing insights into the creative process. The movie is based on a true story from 83 years ago when Chinese fishermen risked their lives to rescue British prisoners of war. The creators expressed hope that the film will showcase the bravery and kindness of ordinary Chinese in the midst of war to the world, ensuring that the truth is not buried and the crimes are not erased.
