Find out what’s good and points to watch

What I liked: The battery lasts well. In our tests, we used the earphones for about five hours a day, and the battery lasted up to a week with a single charge. According to the manufacturer, this model has a battery with autonomy for six hours of use, considering only the earphones. The period is extended for an additional 12 hours with the charging case, which comes with the product. Charging is done by fitting the earphones into the case and connecting this case to the USB cable, and then plugging it into a power source. The case has a charging indicator light that flashes during charging and stays lit continuously when the charge is complete. ‘Clean’ design. The design of this black wireless earphone is simple and elegant, without many details. The finish is matte, except for a shiny strip in the middle of each earphone. The product also has rounded corners, which I consider, besides being beautiful, also smoother and more comfortable to the touch. On the ears, it is very discreet, just filling the ear cavity. The design is minimalist and makes the earphone an accessory that goes well with various clothing styles. The earphones case also follows a similar aesthetic, with a matte finish and the brand name in shiny relief. The case is also compact and lightweight for transportation. Reduces external noise but keeps attention to the environment. This in-ear headphone covers the ear well, helping to slightly reduce external sounds. However, unlike other models, it does not have the active noise cancellation feature, which ensures better sound isolation. This can be interesting if you prefer to pay attention to what is happening around. Sweat-resistant. The earphone was used several times in the gym during workouts and, so far, has not shown any failures. The manufacturer says the product has an IPX5 rating. This makes them resistant to water splashes and can withstand more than a little sweat. Clear sound. The earphones also have a very clear sound. We used them mainly for listening to music during the test, as well as for watching series and movies. The model allowed us to hear the details of the content being played. Touch control. The model has a touch control feature on the top of each earphone (left and right), where the brand name is engraved. Here are some of the functions: One touch on the left or right earphone: pause/resume content playback and answer calls A two-second touch on the right: skip to the next song A two-second touch on the left: go back to the previous song A one-second touch on the left or right: end call Two taps on the left or right: activate voice assistant (Siri or Google) Stable wireless connection. The wireless connection (with Bluetooth 5.1) has proven to be relatively stable, with few interruptions. Pairing is also simple and quick. We also tested the wireless range as promised by the manufacturer (ten meters), and the sound remained clear. Points to watch: The fit in the ears could be better. There are three different-sized silicone tips to adjust to the ears. However, the earphone has a height of about two centimeters, which may be uncomfortable for those with smaller ears. The use is comfortable, but occasionally, with more intense movements, they may come off a bit. Short charging cable. The charging cable is about 25 cm long, making it difficult to charge the earphones. Care must be taken not to stretch the cable, which could cause wear over time. No volume control on the earphones. It is not possible to control the sound volume using the touch control feature. You can only make this adjustment directly on the device you are using. Incompatible with the Philips headphones app. Another point to watch is that the model is not compatible with the brand’s own headphone app, available for iOS and Android. We tried to use the app for functions like the sound equalizer, but the model is not listed on the products that can be used in the app. What changed after use? This earphone proved to be a good option for listening to music, whether at work or to relax. We used it on two devices: cell phone and laptop. The earphones are also very useful for watching series and movies on streaming services through the cell phone. It makes the user very immersed in what they are watching. Who are these earphones suitable for? The Philips wireless earphone offers a good cost-benefit ratio overall. The model provides an efficient set considering points such as reasonable battery life, clear sound, integrated microphone, and sweat resistance. On the other hand, if you are looking for a more comprehensive option, you may miss more advanced features, such as active noise cancellation and even longer battery life. It may also be better to choose another option if you are looking for sports earphones. As I mentioned before, I felt that the earphones moved a bit depending on my use.
