Finnish President suggested a meeting place for Trump and Putin. Both were not planning to go there

Finnish President Alexander Stubb suggested holding new talks between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the November G20 summit in Johannesburg. This was reported by Yle on November 3rd. The politician also focused on the issue of nuclear weapons and statements about nuclear tests. According to Stubb, NATO provides nuclear protection for Finland as the US, France, and the UK have nuclear weapons. He added that Finland’s defense is at a good level and constantly evolving. Earlier, the Kremlin stated that Putin will not personally attend the November G20 summit in South Africa, but Russia will be represented ‘at an appropriate level’. Trump also mentioned that he will not attend the summit, and Vice President Mike Pence will be there instead.
