Fire at drone company leaves at least 22 dead in Indonesia

At least 22 people died in a fire at a seven-story commercial building in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta, on Tuesday, the 9th. The property was used by an agricultural drone services company. 15 women are among the victims, including one who was pregnant. According to the police, the fire was likely caused by a drone battery explosion on the ground floor, spreading to the upper floors of the building in downtown Jakarta before being brought under control. ‘The exact cause is still being investigated by the forensic team,’ said Susatyo Purnomo Condro, chief of police for central Jakarta.
