On Thursday (4), Flamengo striker Bruno Henrique became a defendant for fraud at the Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT), which unanimously accepted the appeal from the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT).
The information was initially published by the ‘ge’ portal. Wander Nunes and Ludymilla Araújo, Bruno Henrique’s brother and sister-in-law, along with six others, are also defendants in the case.
Bruno Henrique will be judged for receiving a yellow card in a match against Santos, in the Brazilian Serie A. The game took place at the Mané Garrincha stadium in Brasília on November 1, 2023.
In relation to the same case, the Flamengo striker had already become a defendant for sports fraud in July 2025, when the 7th Criminal Court of Brasília accepted the Public Ministry’s accusation.
According to the Brasília court’s decision, which Itatiaia had access to, the investigations indicate the ‘possible intentionality of the accused Bruno Henrique in the situation that led to his punishment with card presentation during the match.’
Fined by the Sports Justice
After being suspended for 12 matches by the Superior Sports Justice Disciplinary Committee (STJD), Bruno Henrique had his appeal judged by the Tribunal’s Plenary, which imposed a fine of R$ 100,000 on the striker.
