Away game
Fluminense visits Lanús on Tuesday night (16), at La Fortaleza Stadium, in Buenos Aires, starting at 9:30 PM (Brasília time). The match will be valid for the first leg of the 2025 Sudamericana quarterfinals. The return match is scheduled for the following Tuesday (23), at Maracanã.
Fluminense’s absences
Fluminense traveled without five players for the clash against Lanús. In addition to Samuel Xavier, who was already recovering from an injury, midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso is currently sidelined. The other absences were the decision of coach Renato Gaúcho. The most notable absence in Argentina is forward Santiago Moreno, one of the recent signings who has not yet had a chance to play for the club.
Also missing from the list are defender Thiago Santos and midfielder Otávio. The latter played a full 90 minutes on Saturday (13) against Corinthians, after being away from the field for almost six months due to injury.
