Market projections for inflation and exchange rates for this year were revised downward for the fifth consecutive week on Monday (27), according to the Focus Report released by the Central Bank. The estimate for the IPCA fell from 4.70% to 4.56%. The forecast for the dollar, on the other hand, decreased from R$ 5.45 to R$ 5.41. Meanwhile, the projection for the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) dropped from 2.17% to 2.16%. The forecast for the basic interest rate for this year remained at 15% for the eighteenth consecutive week.
