Market projections for inflation and exchange rate for this year were revised downwards once again on Monday (06), according to the Focus Report released by the Central Bank. The inflation estimate dropped from 4.81% to 4.80%, while the dollar prediction decreased from R$ 5.48 to R$ 5.45. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) projection remained at 2.16%. Meanwhile, the forecast for the basic interest rate this year stayed at 15% for the fifteenth consecutive week. Inflation projections for 2026 stood at 4.28%, for 2027 at 3.90%, and for 2028 at 3.70%. The IGP-M estimates for 2025 fell from 1.02% to 0.96%, while 2026 forecasts were at 4.20%. The projections for 2027’s inflation were at 4%, and for 2028 it decreased from 4% to 3.98%.
