A law graduate from Sao Bernardo do Campo, Ruy became a detective and began investigating the PCC in the early 2000s. During his time at the State Department of Criminal Investigations, he participated in the arrests of PCC leaders such as Marcola for drug trafficking and other crimes. Christino and other authorities involved in combating the PCC had been threatened by the faction in the past. No recent threats were reported by Ruy to Christino. The investigation continues regarding Ruy Ferraz Fontes’s assassination in Praia Grande.
