Former Russian PM Kasyanov and economist Guriev listed as terrorists and extremists

Moscow, November 17, INTERFAX.RU – The Russian financial monitoring agency has included former Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Kasyanov and economist Sergey Guriev, recognized as foreign agents, in the list of organizations and individuals linked to extremist activities or terrorism. The list was updated on Monday. According to the law, banks freeze the funds of those listed and suspend their services. Kasyanov and Guriev reside outside Russia. Last October, they became suspects in a case of attempted coup and formation of a terrorist group, being investigated by the FSB of Russia. The case is related to their involvement in the declared undesirable ‘Anti-War Committee of Russia’, which, according to the FSB, aims to violently seize power and change the constitutional system in the Russian Federation.
