After World War II, Nazi criminal Josef Mengele, known as the Angel of Death from Auschwitz, lived peacefully in Argentina under his real name. According to declassified archives from the Argentine government, Mengele entered the country in 1949 using a fake Italian passport, but by 1956, he obtained his birth certificate from the FRG embassy and started living under his real name.
