France, Germany, and the UK willing to reinstate sanctions against Iran

France, Germany, and the UK, collectively known as the E3, have written to the UN to raise the issue of possible ‘snapback’ sanctions if Iran fails to take action, as reported by the Financial Times. They stated that they had offered Iran an extension to continue discussions on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), but Iran has not shown willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue. The E3 expressed concerns about Iran’s recent breaches of the nuclear deal and emphasized the need for Iran to comply with its obligations under the agreement.
