FSB reports failure of operation to hijack Russian MiG-31 with “Dagger” missile

On November 11, the FSB reported the thwarting of a Ukrainian operation to hijack a Russian MiG-31 with a hypersonic missile called the “Dagger” – the aircraft was intended to be stolen for a provocation against a NATO airbase. According to the FSB, the operation was being planned by Ukraine and Britain, specifically by British handlers of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate. The Russian MiG-31 with the “Dagger” was supposed to be directed towards the NATO base in Constanta, Romania, where it could have been targeted by air defense systems.
