G20 Leaders Without the US Accept Summit’s Final Declaration

G20 leaders accepted a declaration at the summit in South Africa, developed without the US. The document includes formulations not supported by US authorities, Reuters reports. The statement is ‘not subject to revision,’ said South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s press secretary to journalists. Earlier, he claimed to have reached ‘overwhelming consensus’ on the summit’s declaration. According to four Reuters sources, G20 representatives, without US participation, drafted the leaders’ declaration. The document reportedly incorporates formulations long opposed by the administration of US President Donald Trump.
