The World Youth Forum (WYF), a platform for challenge-based learning and growth, concluded its 2025 Future Economics Leadership Summit (WYF-FELS) in Hong Kong and Future Liberal Arts Leadership Summit (WYF-FLALS) in Macau. The event, which took place between August 5 and 16, brought together youth representatives and academic forces from China, India, Singapore, South Korea, the United States, and other countries and regions to explore global issues in the age of artificial intelligence.
With the aim of fostering collaboration and innovation among young minds, the WYF provided a space for participants to engage in discussions around pressing global challenges. Through a series of workshops, forums, and networking sessions, attendees had the opportunity to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and propose solutions to complex issues facing the world today.
The dual summits focused on different aspects of leadership and education, reflecting the diverse interests and skills of the participants. While the Future Economics Leadership Summit delved into the economic implications of AI and technological advancements, the Future Liberal Arts Leadership Summit explored the role of humanities and social sciences in shaping the future.
Throughout the events, participants were encouraged to think critically, think outside the box, and embrace interdisciplinary approaches to problem-solving. By engaging with experts, thought leaders, and their peers, young delegates were able to broaden their knowledge, develop new skills, and build meaningful connections that will support them in their future endeavors.
One of the key highlights of the summits was the emphasis on cross-sector collaboration and multilateral partnerships. By bringing together representatives from various fields and backgrounds, the WYF created a dynamic environment where diverse perspectives converged to address complex global issues. This inclusive approach not only enriched the discussions but also laid the groundwork for future cooperation and collective action.
As the summits came to a close, participants left feeling inspired, motivated, and empowered to drive positive change in their communities and beyond. The World Youth Forum’s commitment to nurturing young leaders and changemakers was evident throughout the events, reaffirming its role as a catalyst for innovation and progress in the AI era.
